Trip Itinerary

News

Brazil has just eliminated the need for citizens of US, Canada, Australia and Japan to obtain a visa before entering the country. Therefore, all you will need is a passport. This schedule below reflects our normal trip which offers 6 days of fishing. We also offer short trips offering 4 days of fishing. which is basically the same itinerary with 2 less days of fishing.

Day 1 -  Guests fly to Manaus, Brazil, where TC Fishing will host them for the night in a  hotel.

Day 2 - 6:00 am - Breakfast and transfer to the charter plane, turboprop Caravan, flight 1 to 2 hours to the mobile Safari Camp, arriving around 9:30 am and having the rest of the day free .

Day 3 trough  8 -  Breakfast at 6:00 am and departure around 7:30 am for a day of fishing and tour, returning to Safari Camp around 5:00 pm for hors d'oeuvres and dinner.

Day 9 - Around 10 am, departure from Safari Camp by Caravan, arriving in Manaus at 11:30 am, where you will be transferred to Manaus International Airport, for your return flight, or to the hotel, if you have a flight leaving later.

Note: American Airlines flies daily non-stop routes between Miami and Manaus. As the flights sometime arrive and depart around midnight, it's important that you make sure you are arriving Friday night or early Saturday morning so that you can catch the 6 a.m. charter flight out of Manaus to your safari camp. You will be delivered back to Manaus by noon on Saturday so your flight home must be after noon on Saturday (which may mean leaving early Sunday morning).

A valid U.S. passport is required for entrance into all South American countries. Make sure your passport is valid and does not expire within 6 months of the time you return to the United States. It takes up to a month to process a new passport, so please plan accordingly. As of June 2019 a VISA is no longer necessary to enter Brazil from the U.S. Contact us with questions.

New app to expedite going through customs:
You may want to check out the mobile passport app (https://www.mobilepassport.us/) to shorten wait time through customs.

Medical and Travel Insurance:
We suggest you consider trip insurance as trip payments are non refundable unless the client can provide a replacement angler. Global Rescue, among others, provides trip insurance as well as medical evacuation services in case of an emergency.

Shots required to enter Brazil?
There are no shots required to enter Brazil from the US but we suggest you talk to your doctor about getting a yellow fever shot and/or other vaccinations as a precaution. You can read about world health information at the Centers for Disease Control at https://www.cdc.gov.

Flight Options:

Be sure to be in Miami at least 3 hours before the flight to Manaus on Friday.. You must make the flight Friday to Manaus in order to be able to catch the 8 a.m. flight to your camp on Saturday and you want to leave plenty of time for your luggage to make the flight. If you miss the Saturday morning flight, you will need to pay an additional $4,000.00 for a charter flight to camp. On the return trip, connecting flights home should be planned no sooner than 2 hours after arriving into Miami to allow time to go through customs.
